Pockets Full of Mean Green, Hair Smelling like Pantene

I'm not sure if people will take Katt seriously with this whole music venture, but this song is catchy, and I'm just being real. If it isn't at all appealing to you, you can at least say it's hilarious with all the famous Katt one liners at the end....

Katt Williams feat. Snoop and Weezy-"Mind Right"

&&&&&&& a clip from "American Hustle", Katt Williams' newest stand up/movie. This is the opening scene during his stand up bit....."Everyday I'm hustlin'...hustlin'...hustlin'"

"Feedback": Ms. Jackson

Video for Janet Jackson's new single "Feedback"....
The song is cool, I can hear it being played in a club.....
I think the chorus threw me off a bit, I'm not really into repetitive chorus'
"Feedback, Feedback, Feedback, Feedback"...
The choreography is dope, Janet still has it down....

Lupe on Tavis Smiley

For those that didn't catch this anywhere else....Lupe Fiasco on Tavis Smiley....What's funny about this is they initially listed this episode as, 'special guest: :Latino Hip-Hop artist Lupe Fiasco'.....they soon realized their terrible mistake and made the proper revisions...but how did they come to the conclusion that he was latino??? Laughing out loud.....

2008 will make for a GREAT year....

It's 2008...I left the blog hanging for the remainder of 07'...to those that found my blog interesting enough to keep coming back, I apologize for the lack of updates...you know how things go when you're on THE GO...but as far as 2007 goes...I can wrap it up like so...

--I attended my first Lupe Fiasco concert (which was absolutely amazing)
--I went to B-More for thee first time...it was quite the experience
--I am now a co-host for a college hip-hop radio station (so what if it's online)
--The return of 90's style of clothing has left an irritable imprint in my mind...mainly because those same people are trying to act like they're still living in the 90's...carrying around boom boxes that only play 90's jams, rocking high top fades, lacing up busted Reeboks, that they really dug out of their older brother's 90's era box...the same one's that claim music is dead, and will ONLY listen to old Nas and A Tribe Called Quest....NOOOO.....now that it's 2008, is is OVER??
--We lost some greats..Pimp C, Anna Nicole, Ike Turner, Evel Knievel, Luciano Pavarotti...and all others not mentioned...R.I.P
--Bush is even more of an idiot than he was last year
--Fedoras are too cool
--When you're auditioning as a back dancer for Beyonce...be prepared for major head swinging...while simultaneously flailing your arms...all while in 4 inch heels
--These wildfires man have been prrreeeetty scary...
--Has the entire asian race been blanketed now for the incident at Virginia tech??
--Obama vs Clinton....Clinton vs Obama???
--Dog Fighting has always been evil in my eyes...I'm all for the consequences that he has been given...esp. after seeing pictures of those animals...
--Britney...Britney...Britney...who is to blame for your behavior this year???
--And why did you let Silverman get to you right before you went out on stage...that performance could have very well been the re-start of your career...but sadly...it wasn't
--However, "Blackout" was dope!!!
--The Beckhams invade the US....yay?!?!?!
--Kanye West prevails over 50...
--Dr. West (Kanye's mother) unfortunately passes away...rest in peace
--Eddie Murphy and Scary Spice...go half on a baby
--J. Lo is finally prego...and her and Marc embark on a tour
--Bob Barker does his final taping of 'Price is Right' in 07
--The release of Lupe's second album "The Cool"...and people start listening up...

There were more significant events...but they shall all remain as memories....
and I leave you with this....b/c David Letterman is a G for letting that beard grow out...

Lupe performing "Superstar" on Letterman

Feel the Heartbeat on Your Eardrum

Another artist who I love to support....
Talib Kweli
"Everything Man"

I Predict a Riot

A new video from an artist that is slept on way more than he should be.
Hezekiah feat. Keziah and Eshon Burgundy-"I Predict a Riot"
BTW, if you haven't heard his CD, "I Predict a Riot".....you should.
He has a joint on there with Freeway that is quite ill, I'm sure it would do well on the radio or with any ROC heads at that....
He also got Bilal on a smooth, mellowed out track....fans of Bilal, here you go.
The production of the entire album is well formatted and his songs are unique AND catchy....picture that!!

Cop It!

Kevin Michael: Wants to be Iconic

Kevin Michael's debut CD should currently be getting play in your CD player, car stereo, or IPOD. His first effort is truly amazing to me. The only other R&B album released this year that I could listen to in it's entirety, all day long is Chrisette Michele's debut. Both bring back that mood in music that has been missing for sometime now. Below, his video for "It Don't Make Any Difference to Me" feat. Wyclef Jean

"All I Gotta do is Add a Little Lemon...."

Thank you DC for emailing me this track....new Erykah Badu for that azz, "Honey". The title explains the song's content, which is Erykah describing someone who's like honey, real sweet, her sugar, her little muse, her favorite drink....you get it. It has that Erykah Badu vibe, quite chill and at the same time, funky.

--first single off her new album, which drops in February of 2008
Can you wait??
I know I've been inpatiently anticipating this
